New Envoy Information
#2411
Good things are happening here, but moral is still low. Not much faith in abusive top management due to lack of respect for contract. As far as Envoy finding quality pilots, they are doing well. The new hires I have worked with have been exceptional and they tell me only 1 or so per class is not making it through

These articles you are referencing here are ancient. If you can't tell, the landscape has shifted. AAG recognizes the value Envoy provides to the overall operation and it's evident with their actions. We are getting returning 140/145's from the desert and other carriers. We continue to take delivery of brand new 175's. And I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see some additional 175's in our near future either.
Your negativity and just throwing a bunch of old articles out here isn't going to change the positive things we have going on here at Envoy. We have 28 new hires this month and next month we are projected to get even more. Why do you think this is? If this place is as bad as you say, we wouldn't be able to get even one new hire. They are coming because they want to be AA pilots and have a career at the largest airline in the world. Guess who has the most robust flow to AA? Yep, you guessed it. Envoy. I'm sorry that gets you in a wad but it's a fact.
Envoy still hires selectively. We don't just hire every Tom, Dick and Harry that shows up at our door. Remember, we are hiring an AA pilot. It's not easy to get in and you have to do your homework and have a great background to even be eligible. These are not what I would call "bad quality" candidates.
I do fly the line here some so I know what the vibe is out there and it's not at all what you are painting it to be.

LOL....so now you guys are selectively finding articles from 2014 that fits your narrative? Why stop there? Reach back to 1997 while you're at it....you negative detractors are really grasping at straws these days. Of course the big theme looms over every ridiculous, half truth negative post of yours: if things are so bad why haven't you quit? You won't quit, will you? None of you will. You know your ticket to AA has been stamped and you are nearly there...but you want to ruin as much furniture on your way out as you can.
Grow up. Mesa is hiring...I hear things are great over there. Plus with no flow you can beg for a mainline job along with every other pilot in the country.

True on both points, which explains why Envoy is being reduced to half it's original size. Once it's small enough, it won't be on the worst list of DOT major airlines.
As the WSJ link below points out, regionals serve their major. As long as American is near the bottom of the list, how can their regionals be any better?
The Best and Worst Airlines - WSJ
Rank Overall rank
1 Alaska
2 Virgin Amer.
3 Delta
4 jetBlue
5 Southwest
6 Frontier
7 American
8 United
When does Envoy plan on improving the QOL of their pilots?

This is what people trying to gleam anything from all this should be looking for: the tidbits of truth they don't even know they are spewing.
I took away all the BS. This person admits people are trying to "ruin the furniture". Why do you think that is? Why are so many people, who are supposed to be so happy about flowing after 16 years, doing this? The truth lies within these little tidbits, and that truth is they are trying to gloss over that daily life at envoy, past the shiny jet stage, is nothing but a grind with very few days off. These nasty and stupid management types are your slave drivers.
But don't worry, you have an airtight flow! The same airtight flow that suckered in the guys now flowing, just 16 years ago.
Those who do not study history are destined to repeat it. That saying has stood the test of time because of its pure virtue.

Thanks that your admission you "fly the line here some". Are you management or training?

Here is the WSJ rankings for this year. AA is below Spirit in dead last. That's right kids! You too can flow right into the worlds biggest(and worst) airline(probably).

What is the projection for the Envoy fleet 5 years from now? Is there one or aren't they telling you?
