Default Guard Retards!!!!!!!

My God-

I flew about 5 hours today. From Tx to the northeast.

What in hell is happening on 121.5 these days? Seriously??

At least 80% of the time, clowns were playing games on guard. No. It really isn't funny.

My question is:
-Who is sitting next to these guys?

There is absolutely no chance that two pilots in the same plane think this crap is funny. It is not funny the first time, and it really loses its appeal after 12K times from the same idiot. (In my experience today, I heard the same voice for at least 2 hours.... )

I know I can't change the mind of any fool who is gonna play guard games all across the country. I can't fix stupid.

BUT-I would like to appeal to whomever is sitting next to these morons. Whether the guard clown is a capt or f.o. is irrelevant. Crews get violated together. And someone is sitting next to each and every one of these retards.

It would be very easy for some FAA guys to catch you. They really do have the technology. And all our planes are equipped with CVRs. A quick DF or two, and they have the general location. Pull a simple CVR, and you are done. ASAP will never protect anyone from this kind of crap.

So...... Next time the guard clown in the seat beside you gets going, tell him to shut the hell up. There is simply no way to explain a violation for something like this..... No way in the world.

Imagine the interview for your dream job.... "You were violated for doing what on 121.5?" "Thanks for coming. Go **** yourself."

It ain't funny. And important people hear it. If you have any aspirations of moving on, please stop the guy next to you from doing this crap. You may just save your career.

(Not to mention that an actual emergency aircraft could really be trying to get help during the time these guard clowns are whacking off.)

You're on guard.

Plus if you know how to use Google. Do a search function, this was discussed a few weeks ago.

CVRs can't be used for discipline.

Also, show me in the regulations where anyone would be "done" for fooling around on guard. Not that I agree with it or participate, but you're being a tattler. There isn't a violation for unprofessionalism.

§91.13 Careless or reckless operation.
(a) Aircraft operations for the purpose of air navigation. No person may operate an aircraft in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another.

(b) Aircraft operations other than for the purpose of air navigation. No person may operate an aircraft, other than for the purpose of air navigation, on any part of the surface of an airport used by aircraft for air commerce (including areas used by those aircraft for receiving or discharging persons or cargo), in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another.

Ask any inspector. Just go right ahead and ask him....

This one is the "catch all." And you can bet that clogging up the emergency frequency is covered by this. I'm sure any inspector worth his salt could come up with some more.

I have heard this during actual emergencies. Heard it one time when a controller was helping a private pilot who was stuck on top of an overcast.

It really isn't cute or funny.

Just trying to warn people who have sense enough to understand. The FAA has brought down people for a heck of a lot less.

You want to be a test case? Go ahead. You will never find me in federal court trying to save my career over something this boneheaded.
