Default Perrone jacket: leather grain?

Can anyone who owns a Perrone jacket of recent vintage post or PM me a pic of the leather grain, along with something for scale (e.g., a coin).

Looking at getting one in calfskin from Pop's, rather than the goatskin Perrone. Wondering if I need to opt for their grainy calfskin so as to match the "approved" Perrone one. (Or am I overthinking this? Does anyone really care?)

Thanks, much appreciated.

Don't know about your company, but I have seen people wear a generic A2 at 1/3 the cost.

I'll tell you this much..I own a perrone and after only a year I feel like the thing is about to fall apart, and I take very good care of it.

The leather on back of my jacket seems like it's getting too soft and "thin feeling" like I'm about to get a hole in it...don't remember it feeling like that when I got it. The thing is VERY heavy and expensive. Personally, I would find something that looks similar and go with that, unless your airline is very picky when it comes to the jacket. Ha you could always just wear a north face like most regional guys so the crew trackers can't find ya

You're over thinking it. The Gibson horizon uses looks and feels better.

Do yourself a favor... Go with Pops. After 7yrs mine still looks great and haven't oiled or drycleaned it yet... Perrone is trash.

I just got a pops calf skin with the zip out liner. Fits like a glove, super warm, and I don't have to drag two coats around me anymore (blazer and raincoat). Pops was super fast, very professional, and had great customer service.

I have a Gibson&Barnes with the liner and it is just too darn hot to wear anywhere but outside on the coldest days. I bring one of those lightweight fleece vest with me and wear it under the jacket if necessary AND the vest allows you to go incognito and works well on overnights.

By combining the vest with a waterproof collapsible windbreaker, you can take on most weather. You can wear the windbreaker over your leather on the walk-around in the rain.

I own a Pop's Leather jacket. IF IT FIT'S it's a great jacket, if not your stuck with it.

Don't count on getting any customer service. Call the Pop's Leather phone number and see what you get, it's an answering service!

Mine didn't fit. I called and emailed many times. The Pop's Leather representative never returned a call. I received two emails, one requesting pictures and one saying they were shipping a new jacket. They created a shipping label but never used it. Had to dispute it through my credit card.
