I haven't seen any email to that affect but if the company decides to unilaterally abrogate our contract and pay SOME pilots outside of the contact, I predict a sharp decrease in on-time performance, a sharp rise in untimely maintenance write-ups, and a lot fewer single-engine taxies.
And duty time extensions???? Forget it! Not even if it helps me and my crew to get home! I'd rather cancel the flight, stick the company with 4 more hotel rooms, and get us all some junior man pay the next day.

Just an email saying mec took the offer. No details really except the 250/mo for in base hotels for commuters. Would like to see what we gave too.

It does make me wonder what changed the MECs mind? And it also makes me wonder what the company has up it's sleeve to make it want to push these retention bonuses so hard despite the fact that we are apparently "hiring for attrition"? Perhaps some bad news is also on the way? I see this as a way to keep FOs from making lateral moves, but not to keep FOs from moving on to something better. It will however lift morale quite a bit I think.
