For those of us waiting for class, can you give a quick summary of what they are working on?
FYI- as part of my study for the new hire test, I used some Delta test gouge. A lot of the questions were the same ones in the Delta gouge. so I'm wondering what you mean when you say in order to have a Delta flow the new hire test needs to be like Delta. IMHO it already is.

Delta flow is gone. There is little chance it will come back. Flow means you get a job at Delta no interview, just hired. This ended at Compass in 2010. There are talks of a gaurneteed interview program. Which if you meet certain requirements they will call you for an interview after a period of time at Compass.
Specifically for Delta the rumor is you would have had to take the Delta test. This test was 3 seperate tests. Cognitive, personality, and knowledge. Compass no longer gives this test in an interview. Stopped sometime in early to mid 2015 I believe. They use the knowlesge portion only now I believe. So the rumor is anyone hired under this old 3 part test might have a shot at a Delta gaurnteed interview.
From the sound of it you were not hired during this time and would be ineligible for the Delta gaurnteed interview.
However the CP Email was open ended when it says they are in talks with other airlines besides Delta and hope to have something soon.

Just to be clear, the only "other airline" that it could possibly be would be American because we don't fly for anyone else, right? And it seems like they've got plenty of candidates already by way of Envoy/PSA/Piedmont. Am I missing something here?

right, because "lip service" is a good thing to send to the whole company...
Lighten up.
It was just good info about possibly having a program soon. Nothin more, nothing less. It's just good to know they are working on it. We need it to stay competitive with recruiting. It's that simple. Almost every other regional has it. It just makes sense that at some point, so will we.
If anything this will cause more questions about it to be asked. So yeah... doubt anyone will be quiet now.
I thought the email was great! Very informative, lots of good info about recent happenings. Nice job guys! You know who you are.
I would love to see more communications like this.

The 50 question ATP style knowledge test you did is not the official 100 question Delta job knowledge test most of us hired pre-summer 2015 had to do. Your test is a much more more simplified version of the original.
The hiring process at Compass became more "free for all" and less selective the moment the need for the 3 Delta tests was removed. This was due to 2 reasons; one being that Compass needed to hire a ton of pilots and too many were failing this initial test phase (a few of them failed it when I interviewed and were sent home) and the other reason being that Compass wanted to be able to offer people a job on the spot when the recruiters were on tour without the need for them to have to send these people to MSP for the 3 tests (I guess it just turned people away).
The 3 tests consisted of a cognitive, a psych test and the Delta knowledge test and your pass/fail was weighed as a median across all 3 tests.
These 3 tests are exact tests that are given to Delta interviewees on Day 1, and since we were exclusively with Delta for so long that offer was unofficially on the table and was always used as a marketing tool by recruiters.
This is the reason why some may still be entitled to the guaranteed interview while some may not.

No coincidence. The CP's spend their days perusing this website to get information just like we do. They will all bail when/if given the chance to get out, just like us. I kinda liked the code. Guess we can communicate to them here and maybe see some results.

As was I. For my interview, it was 3 seniority list pilots and they each looked at me straight in the eye with the sheet of paper and told me I had a guaranteed interview if still here after 3 years, etc.. This is the part that is shady. It was never guaranteed and they never should've advertised it as such.
