Regions Air Interview
Our interview process is going to be less than structured this go-around because of the short notice of a class date.
Airline info: (better than our website)

The Jetstream base is STL and the Saab base is CLE for the time being. We are hiring for the Jetstream right now. Many things may change very soon as we are in the process of being sold to an airline investment group. They are interested in bringing bigger airplanes. Again, right now, F/O pay depends on flight time: 1000-1499 = $17/hr, 1500-2000 = $18/hr, 2000+ = $19/hr. The contract on the table begins all F/O's at $19/hr. Our saving grace is that upgrade is usually less than a year.
I'm going to be in Orlando on the 15th - 18th recruiting at the Women in Aviation conference. I will be in St. Louis on the 12th, then Nashville the 13th and 14th. If you don't need a long separation from your current employer, we can get together the week of the 19th in St. Louis or Nashville. The class will start Monday, Feb. 26th. I realize this is short notice. In return, there will be no simulator ride. The interview is mainly to get to know you. We have a short ATP-type written test and interviews with various pilots (F/O and CA), and myself. We expect you to have strong instrument skills, b/c the Jetstream will eat you alive if you don't. We hire to keep you here, but you must be on your game. The training is a difficult 5 weeks in Smyrna, TN and St. Louis.
This is a stepping-stone airline. Our expectation of our pilots is to put in at least a year (there is a training contract), upgrade to CA and get in your coveted 1000 hours of Part 121 PIC time. That is the magic minimum for most legacy airlines.
I look forward to hearing from you and setting up an interview.
ANY THOUGHTS and/or insight from others thanks!

I used to work for Corporate Airlines (pre-IRK crash Regions Air) but not as a pilot. The pilots were GREAT, the company sucked hard though. I think every single pilot I knew there either made a move to a jet regional (and have upgraded) or gone to NetJets/AirTran/Pace/etc. One posts on this board and went to AirTran and is now at UPS.
