So excited to see how they're going to contractually flow people in 5-6 years to American when they can't even hire enough pilots from the bottom to account for all the flows that are leaving. It's like watching an old worn out Vegas Casino implode.

These are the crew room chairs in Eagle crew room at DFW. They were the sleep room chairs but people kept pushing them out into the hallway and a grievance was filed. So now they replaced the recliners in the main crew room. They say there are more chairs coming - ordered since March(uh huh).

This should be raw evidence that envoy is run by dirtbags. They expect you to sit in these disgusting nasty chairs. Now think how wonderful some of our overnight hotels are.

The one thing I will say is that aside from the hotels almost always being close to the airport, they're never disgusting or outdated (except for the Wingate in XNA.)

As for how management treats their pilots? You hit the nail on the head. It's the worse that I've ever seen here and I still cannot fathom why other then to think that they really are that unqualified to be in their respective positions. We are their best recruiters and when they have the audacity to break the contract and treat us like garbage to the extreme amount that they have been doing, especially in this "pilot-friendly" marketplace, how can they be surprised when there is no massive influx of new-hires? The latest word is that envoy may be spending some big bucks on a marketing firm to try and entice new-hires, rather then spending the money on actually fixing this place...

For any management trolls out there, here's a few pointers:

1. Fire a certain pilot-hating scheduling manager (anyone who works here knows who she is)
2. Negotiate reserve in good faith and come to a mutually beneficial agreement that takes both parties concerns into account, while preserving seniority and also recognizing that we are now an airline full of forced commuters.
3. Follow the freakin' contract. If you want to do something outside of the bounds of the contract, notify and negotiate with the union in good faith, rather then "fly now-grieve later" solutions.

The animosity between the envoy pilot group and management is as bad as it's ever been, and it does't have to be. Making Envoy Great Again is so easy a caveman could do it.

Are you finally dumping that Camelback you've been carrying around for management? Sounds like a major change of tune for you here.

Usually you are the first to jump on something I post to discredit it and tell me how out of touch I am and in other words, don't know ****. I posted again today the same thing I've been saying for months now and you didn't ask me how many engine failures I've had this month.

For those who have in the past claimed I am (or one of) the ultimate "Envoy basher/hater(s)", nothing I have ever said could do more damage then posts like this that reveal the reality of Envoy as seen from too many of their pilots.

It isn't the "trolls" who don't work there that are telling like it is, it is those that do. It is being bandied about that Envoy management is now in the process of selecting a new marketing team (another word for "sales") to paint Envoy in new and exiting colors in the hopes of luring more pilots to their doorstep.

Personally, I think it more wasted time and money on schemes that don't fix the problem and until that is fixed, Envoy will continue to wither as one of the less desirable destinations for pilots aside from those who have connections to DFW and ORD.

Well I think you're a disgruntled tool bag who flips around everything I say, so no that tune hasn't changed. My post was to highlight the reasons why we're not getting new-hires. Do I agree with these new-hires? No. I've always been someone who looks for long term, rather then short term rewards and I find that envoy is a place that will get a new-hire a better long-term reward. If some 23 year old kid is butt hurt that he's not going to upgrade after a year or have to slug it out commuting to reserve (god forbid, it's not like none of us had to do that), then that's his prerogative. Go to Mesa or Compass or Skywest, upgrade a little bit earlier (BIG maybe), and then try getting on with one of the big 3. Let me know how that goes!

I've said it time and time again that if you go that route and you want to get on with AA, Delta, or United then you better work your ass off networking or be prior military (or both). Basically jump through a ton of hoops on your time off in hopes of getting that interview. Otherwise, have fun at a LCC. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that we all have different career goals. My career goal is to be at AA.

Dude, you're annoying as *******. You work at Allegiant!!! I laugh every time I write that. You chose poorly.

Now that I have you roped in, what are your career goals and how are they moving along? Any interviews lined up at one of the big 3 or are you going to stay satisfied with your lateral move and pray that you don't pop any more engines?
