Teen dies in around the world attempt

60-100k as a captain being young and single doesn't sound too bad to me. I didn't get into this profession because i am 100% obsessed with flying. I got into it because i don't want to work for a living. I specifically want to go to the airlines because i REALLY don't want to work for a living.

If you are so frustrated with where the industry is headed go do something about it. I can choose what direction i want to go with my airline career. And as far as entitlement goes. My generation may have that problem but i worked hard to get where i am in aviation.

AVGAS is available out of a truck in PPG (there's a BNI and a few other pistons and helos that operate out of there). A driving reason why a lot of these world rounders in SEL Pistons go PPG-HNL rather than PPG-CXI-HNL is to avoid the high cost of purchasing fuel shipped in drums to CXI (as well as fuel quality and accommodation issues at that location).
The general area of the crash (while close to shore) is still across one mile of ocean in the middle of the night in an extremely dark place. The lights from the island would easily be blocked from view by the swells. They would have been in a black hole, disoriented, and possibly injured. Even 100 feet from shore in the middle of the night like that would be an ordeal to survive.
Bwahahahahaha... lolololo, dear freaking christ you're just an idiot, or the best troll on APC yet.
I need a new keyboard.

Oh, then you are an idiot... "Got into flying because I don't want to work for a living"... Wow. Get out before reality sets in, you are not prepared for how cold that dose is going to be.

Pretty sure ClarenceOver is a legacy pilot. Just yankin chains it seems!
Anyway, I read in one article that the aircraft sent out a distress signal before going down.
