Germanwings crash video inside the cabin found by investigators | Daily Mail Online

Interesting about the video, as well as the CVR summary lower down- you could hear his breathing via the O2 mask on it. Intriguing that he would keep it on.

We, the whole planet, must have the crappiest news outlets since the invention of news. But we can't blame the media - blame the morons who flock to it in their millions. We have the best media we are prepared to pay for:

CNN Ratings Highest Since January With Germanwings Crash Coverage; Disaster No Help For Fox News, MSNBC

Nothing new today, if it bleeds, it leads.

This song was written a long time ago and just as accurate today:

"The bubble headed bleach blonde comes on at 5, she can tell you about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye, it's interesting when people die, give us dirty laundry."

I'd guess because a majority of their viewers are the knee jerk, sensationalist, bleeding heart type.

It sure would nice if the news from all channels reported facts instead of guesses and opinions if they are going to classify themselves has a news company. If not, they need to relabel themselves "shows" and "dramas"

Did the cvr summary say he was breathing via the o2 mask? Headset mics are hot and continously record to the cvr so he could have been just wearing a headset.

I don't think ICAO rules require the use of oxygen from 250 to 410 as long as the aircraft is equipped with quick donning masks.

It was on the article that I posted, but looks like they removed it. It specifically stated that the breathing on the O2 mask was clearly audible.

Of course, we know how reliable the media can be, too....

Everyone used to laugh at Delta's hiring practice of administering two psychological tests, including the MMPI, and then a friendly meet and great with a psychologist. I wonder if others will follow suit? I wonder when yearly psychological tests will become the norm?

Also, Lubutz had roughly 100 hours in type. Was this the first time he's been left alone in the cockpit? I imagine if you are a CA that recently flown with him and you went to the bathroom you'd feel as if you dodged a bullet.

You meant dodged a Mountain, right?

I was wondering the same thing, about his supposed 'job stress'.

How do you get that stressed out that early in your career (100hrs. in type??) What is that, about 1.5 months of work?
