Will they pay for your atp like the regionals are doing. There will come a time very soon that sun country will not be able to find pilots will have to follow the regionals footstep of offering to pay for ATP any thoughts on this
They're still more like a Major/LCC than a Regional. All it's going to take is sweetening the contract a bit (which is up pretty soon), and they'll be back on the main stage. I believe they're next up to bat after Frontier. That will happen long before they get desperate enough to do ATP CTP programs or whatever.

I don't believe sunny is taking people without an ATP, we don't have the appropriate ground (written) training in place, not sure if we will get it.

With the "flow" programs with colleges, we may have to.

Our contract reaches its end Nov 2020, negotiations may start 6 months before then... or sooner if the company thinks they need to for bases, pay etc.

With a net "gain" of -1 airplanes from now through 2019, i doubt there will be any need for early negotiations. Upgrades are on hold until at least July 2019. Hiring for attrition only, we are the pipeline to SW.

Default Stay as a Capt at a regional vs Sun Country

Would anyone recommend leaving Envoy as a captain to go to Sun Country?

But aren’t they telling new hires 3-4 years to flow?

3-4 years into the decade after next maybe... recruiters conviently ignore those pesky details. I was promised a 5 year flow and it’s going to be between 8 and 9.

Piedmont’s “fastest” flow baseline is sitting at around 11 for new hires... recruiters are telling folks 3-5 years.

Kalitta, Omni, Western Global
Home based, no jumpseat to work, real tickets & you keep travel miles
No crashpads, ever
You keep most hotel points
Upgrades 2-4 years on heavy equipment
Livable wages right off the bat, make over $110k-$120k first year easilly.
KCM & CASS
Jumpseat Agreements with most carriers
12 year hourly pay at all three now equal to or better than at most legacies. The big shortcoming is no direct 14%-16% contribution, just company matches. 16-18 days a month, either in one chunk or two. Makes taking a month off easy by creative bidding without using a single vacation day.

Unless you’re going to live in base for a legacy, the few ACMI’s I just listed are a decent QOL, no commuting headaches or stress, and very decent pay. When you do apply to AA-UA-DL-UPS-FedEx it won’t be as one of the thousands of regional captains.... it will be as a heavy pilot with global experience.

Just food for thought. There are good and bad with every airline. At Envoy, it’s the abusive treatment by a management team that just doesn’t care.
