I’m curious why you’d need one? We lost just about every pilot deduction with the new tax laws.

Sorry, not a useful response.

Question about that...the way I was reading it we are still allowed to deduct our overnights but as long as it’s the standard deduction and not “city by city”. Is that correct?

That’s actually relevant. Since we lost all job related expenses if you’re still itemizing finding a cpa with flight crew experience isn’t really necessary. 80% of those who used to itemize are now taking the standard deduction anyway so having a cpa at all isn’t really necessary.

There’s an article about the tax changes in the front page of the Alpa website, that I couldn’t fully understand. Sorry not as smart as the rest of my fellow pilots.
But thanks for replying.

the work deductions (such as you're mentioning) are still deductible in some states for state income tax. Check with your local CPA.

I've been using Airline Crew Taxes for years. They're based in Houston, but accept mail-ins, online submissions, etc.

I've been very happy with them.

They have a referral system, so PM me if you're interested and we'll both get a small discount.
