Forgot to mention Atlas spent a load of money on Atlas Air Crew Services (AACS) to attempt busting our union. They even went so far as starting another airline in Europe, GSS blowing 14 million getting a JAA certification to do so.

Polar has some legacy rights in Asia that can not be transferred. AAWH keeps the certificate alive with a CP, DO, DM, CI and DS and some aircraft on the Polar certificate. For line pilots it’s a matter of “What’s our call sign today?”

Thanks! Wasn’t the call sign “Polar Tiger” instead of “Polar?”

I wouldn't put too much stock in Flightaware. All it's going to tell you is that that flight has a Southern flight number. The reality is that it is Atlas operating subservice for Southern on that flight. As long as you're intrigued by Flightaware, then go on FR24.com and input the flight number and it will give you the tail number and then you can see whose fleet it is in -- in this case Atlas's.
