At Expressjet you could be taken offline and retrained then returned to the line. At SkyWest you will be fired. Then when the feds get involved you will now pay for your legal fees. You will then pay for your retraining if you choose to continue your career as a pilot. I indirectly met two SkyWest pilots at Flight Safety this past December who made a mistake while operating a SkyWest aircraft. They were fired.

A lot of news coming this year and if it doesn’t turn out to be great, then you should consider GoJets which will offer a fairly quick upgrade, decent pay and new a/c.
