The ability to drive to work is key.

SKYW is the best game in town if you want to move out west and probably even in ORD, MSP and DTW - specifically if want to retire at SKYW.

And don’t get swayed by the travel benefit argument. Yes, wow are always below mainline and AA WO but you get UA, DL and possibly AA benefits at the same time (subject to where you are base) which beats single airline travel bennies any day.

But regardless, all of that should take a back seat to living in base / ability to drive to work.

Travel benefits may be a consideration for some... But the truth is that with the way they over-sell flights and with the newer “Basic Economy” cheaper sets it should be far from a primary consideration. Non-reving in general is not as easy as it used to be. AA still has the best benefits for its WO regional employees but it doesn’t change what I said above.
