Pilot Contract/Flight Manual
Been watching this forum closely as my logbook fills up. Currently a cadet and second guessing my choice (I know you guys will tell me to run). I do like the MIA base option and flow even if it’s a 10 year delay.
Anyways due to all the indecision I applied to a few others and have an offer from Republic and PSA but very little time left to decide. Other than the pay/bases I wanted more information on deciding factors and figured a good comparison would be contracts and flight manual details. Do I have access to at least the Envoy one since I am an employee? Any places to get my hands on them?
Also, I know how stupid it sounds to sign up for something without looking at the contract but with the limited amount of experience and information provided and all around me (including senior CFIs) raving about what a good opportunity being a cadet was I jumped on it. Trying to atone for my sins now...

The Envoy contract is VERY convoluted. If you have been following this forum, then you have seen discussions about how little even people who have been at the company for a while don’t understand. Much of it has been amended with LOAs. Letter of agreement and it is really hard to go back and forth even if you know WTF you’re looking for/at. And again you would have to have the other contracts to compare.

Do you have a degree with a clean record? If so Republic sounds great. Remember AA owns a part of them so they are not going anywhere.
If not, PSA is currently a better choice however if you can wait out another week or so perhaps some progress will be made on our negotiations.

If I were picking a regional today I’d look for inertia. Places where raises, improvements, etc happen. This is not one of those places, and never will be. Management is going for blood just to even consider throwing us a paltry raise our peers at Piedmont and PSA already got without much discussion or with back pay. They want concessions on what is widely regarded as a very anti-pilot, concessionary contract, forced on the pilot group under threat of dissolving the airline. If you have specific questions about the contract I’m happy to help in PMs. Otherwise, I’d recommend any thread here about reserve.
