MAC Bases
MAC has bases all over the east coast and on into the central US, from as far north as Duluth, all the way down to Miami. To see all the various locations, go to MAC Flight Department and click on the links for the maps of the locations, both domestic and in the Caribbean. Note that the maps make no differentiation between ATR stations and those with only C208s, however. Also, some of the locations shown don't currently have aircraft based there: they are "turn" stations, not bases.

A quick update: MAC has been undar a pay freeze the last year, like so many other companies. That is now easing up: they've approved limited raises for certain employees.
No more F-27s - they're all gone.
Fedex has delayed bringing the new GSO hub up to full operation, due to the economy. No official word as yet when it'll be ramped up.
They recently had some openings for C208 pilots. Good chance for a "newbie" to build PIC time?

MAC had a posting yesterday on climbto350 for an ATR First Officer position. Does anyone know if this is an old posting or if they are really hiring? If so, how many pilots are they looking for? I have around 225 hours in the ATR, will this be competitive?

I don't fly for big purple, but some buddies do.. If you want to work for them or brown, look at any that will get you into overseas longhaul flying. Ideally, one of the other cargo companies (Kalitta, Southern Air, ATI etc...). MAC is just a means to an end, andy company wilol get you there .. The old constant is still true.. Turbine PIC... get the pic time, then appy to a bottom feeder cargo company and move out asap

I believe it is set at either 1000TT or 1500TT for SIC in the ATR. For PIC in the 208 i believe it is 2000TT and pt 135 ifr pic mins. These numbers are usually hard mins as they are set as part of their contract with Fedex and UPS.
