Not anymore. Latest on the web is they now changed the policy and you board by the group letter on the pass they give you(unless you actually sit in the pit).

Do most people prefer to sit in the cockpit or in the back?

I prefer the cockpit over a middle seat, but usually don't ask for up front. It seems like most people prefer you sit in the back unless you have some good reason to sit up front.

I don't say thanks to gojet guys unless I sell myself out and need the cockpit. That has only happened once. When I told them I used to fly for TSA, stupid move, they because pretty big ... holes.

SWA online wants you to preboard if you are riding in the cockpit. I always ask if they MIND if I preboard and have only been denied it twice... by the same guy! I think he is the only one that abides by that rule!

I was under the impression that we were supposed to board last, and also to exit the aircraft last, when jumpseating.

Am I mistaken?

Thats what I heard so I asked the captain on one flight and the gate agent on another. both said to pre-board. so thats what i did. *shrug* Oh, and I was sitting in the back. There was a post about it in the 'Major' section awhile back. They said there is a new policy but not many people follow it.
