Default Jet Blue

I just heard on the news, that Jet Blue records first loss. The news said that it was do to fuel cost.(Go figure) Hopefully, they can make up for the loss this year.

I think eventually they are just going to have to tack on a fuel surcharge or raise fares. The one thing I cannot seem to grasp about they airline industry is that they do not seem to pass on the costs to the customer. At the flight school I work, the rates are set to 3.75gal when it goes over we charge a fuel surcharge. I don't see why the airlines cannot do the same but, I know its probably because of SWA with their fuel hedges
