Commuting to LAX....
In light of ASA's recent announcement of opening up LAX with a bid coming in a few days, can anyone give recommendations on crashpads in LAX? Transportation arrangements? Extended Stay hotels? ect.....
And for those who want to bash the idea of commuting in and out of LAX, don't bother responding. I want real answers please......

slap, I think I posted this before, if so, apologies.... If you are enquiring about left seat, I know there has been a few in SLC senior to me (313 on the list) but, I also think they might change their minds, some bid it before they came out with the day line only thing.
Here's an idea.... once the list does come out, we should all trade numbers, or use the alpa board maybe, and do a hotel room share. I use to live in LA and still visit sometimes, traffic is horrible, parking at Aport I hear is $$.
I wish I had good news, but I haven't been able to find any.

Ah, The Inland Empire, the industrial back lot of LA...the highest per-capita concentration of ex-cons in the nation...plus blazing desert heat to go with your smog...
It is reasonably priced...for SOCAL.

try the glendale and burbank areas. they aren't as pricey, but are still nice areas, and aren't too far from from super hip areas like silverlake, echo park...
if you are looking to buy, downtown la is turning a lot of old buildings into lofts, they are starting to get really expensive, but you can still find some that are reasonable, and will be great investments in the long run...
then there's always van nuys, but it's kinda porno....

GreatView, try the city of El Segundo it's right on the south side of LAX. On the map pick city button for zoom and you will see where it says El Segundo. They've got a lot of aprtments in that community. I don't know what the prices are but since it's close to the beach it might be expensive but the fact that it's close to noisy LAX might make it cheaper too.

I used to live in El Segundo. It's not cheap but it's a great, safe, place to live with easy access to LAX. $1000/mo will get you a dumpy studio. Bike path is awesome. Close to the beach.
