So it all boils down to the cool factor? Ok, I'll buy that.. Still not sure what it does for you career wise other than fill a gap between jet jobs.

There are still a few ex WSO and civ FE's running around w/o an ATP so it doesn't surprise me, we have a few at my current gig. I agree with every else you said, better pay first, cool airplane second.

I see the pay rate for Everts here on the site, but is there an overtime rate for working beyond your 18 days cycle? Or a different rate beyond the hours min?

Seems like their pay is pretty good starting. DC6 or C46 would be pretty neat to fly!

AsianPRIDE, since I do not yet have the minimum time for one of those jet jobs, being a FE allows me to count one hour out of every 3 hours I spend in the FE seat towards my ATP with a maximum of 500 hours being counted towards the rating (61.159). If you had a tad over 300 hours wouldn't you ask for the opportunity? Also the DC-6 might be one of the most beautiful aircraft ever produced.

The pay rates on APC are not correct. They should all be five dollars higher. I will see about getting them updated.

Working a scheduled day off is paid over guarantee. It is actual time flown or three hours, whichever is greater.
