What's your schedule for May of next year?

For those that just love being in an airplane, or have no family at home, or no real extracurricular activities..... Then a schedule does not mean that much..

For me:

I still play baseball ( not softball) and am able to bid off every game.. Which I couldn't do at a fractional.

I also have a small business.... So I bid reserve and am able to almost be at the business 100% of the time I need to be.

Because I bid reserve, and live close to base, I enjoy a lot of time at home... ( well maybe enjoy is embellishing a bit.... I am married after all!!)

During the month of September I worked a total of 5 days.... At my pay rate that equates to over $1500 per day that I worked... I know, I know, it's not accurate since a reserve day is still work.... But anyways... Bottom line is I was on the road 5 days (3 nights out of my bed)

I also like to go to the gym 5-6 days a week... I am able to do that

None of the above was possible with Netjets because of the length of tours, and almost guaranteeing to be gone 18 days a month, or 7 days at a time onthe 7/7

Whatever I want it to be....... Because I have the ability to bid reserve and make it nearly any combination of days off that I want.....

Guys to each their own, I was happy flying the DC3,everybody has their own path and their own unique situations, living in base, or being home based gives a great peace of mind and a huge QOL whether your mount is a 747-400 or the mighty XL , some peeps are happy flying 121, some groove on 91K, God bless it, it's all good, be happy.

Many think that their path in this world is the only path. Some need to believe it to justify their own decisions. It has been awhile since I've seen people work so hard to talk up their particular job on an internet board that is MOSTLY griping about their jobs and the working conditions/environment.
