Default 50 new united E170's to republic

Today, we announced agreements with United Airlines and Embraer that will transform our business model and extend Republic’s leadership position as the preferred and largest operator of E-Jet aircraft.

The agreement with United adds 50 new E175 aircraft with deliveries beginning in 2015; extends United’s current flying of 38 E170 aircraft through 2022; and initiates the wind-down of United’s Q400 operation, beginning in January 2015 and completing in September 2016.

Those Q400s can't catch a break. Maybe porter or Horizon will give them a few pennies on the dollar.

Most are going to FlyBe. It's nice to know that the future pilots of those aircraft will actually be making a good salary.

It was in there:

Embraer noted that the transaction is in connection with the transfer of Q400 turboprop airplanes currently operated by Republic Airlines to UK carrier Flybe Limited.

Is this growth or just replacements for the 145s and Q?

I think the worst part of all this is RAH continues to grow at the expense of its professional pilots.
