Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
I interview next week. I'll be living about 30 mins from DTW. Any idea how long it'll take to bid DTW? How long to hold a line? 200 or 900 more junior in DTW? A while back I had read that it takes about 8 years to get DTW as a captain. Is that still the case? How prevalent is ready reserve in DTW?
Thanks fellas!
Thanks fellas!

I'm military and I'm here too. Enjoying it and leaning a lot.
What often gets left out of the "military goes straight to a legacy" discussion is that those military guys are accumulating 10-20 years experience flying there which is similar (and different) to guys spending 10-20 years at a regional. It's not like they go to pilot training and then just get suddenly hired at a legacy.

Sorry - did not mean to imply that military gets a golden ticket to Legacy. Just that military guys with enough experience have what it takes, trainability, knowledge of complex systems, experience etc. to qualify straight to legacy - 1500 hr CFIs are at a different level of knowledge and experience, and have to gain pertinent experience at a regional/135/fractional first....
No problem. I wasn't reading it as a grudge or complaint, and wasn't taking any offense. Just pointing out that sometimes the fact that years in the military isn't considered when people point out military guys "skip" the regionals. We all (mostly) pay our dues one way or another.
Having had the benefit of the military, I will say I appreciated the fact that I didn't go $100k in debt and financially suffer the way regional guys have had to for the past decade and a half. I'm amazed by some of the stories I've heard and the appreciation I have now for an industry issue (I was admittedly blind to) is even greater! But we still sacrificed in different ways and still "earned" our experience that will get us hopefully to the same legacies someday.
We're all (mil and civ) just pilots who love flying and are climbing the same ladder. Hopefully we can help each other up it rather than trying to knock each other off.

a favor request
Fellow EDV comrades:
With the release of the EFB for the Flight Department, I wasn't sure if you are all still required to maintain Jepps charts or not, but I am posting to request a favor. I am attempting to create some aviation related art so if you have any old charts of any kind that you no longer need/want I would gladly take accept them. You can either drop them at the EDV gate maintenance office lower terminal level under c23 (mark them attn: Ray Renz), or I could set up a way to pick them up from you... Thanks in advance.. a fellow EDV employee
