Think it gives pilots time to
Memorize before QRH revision?

I actually noticed the other day that the red checklist card had boxed items on it and it made me ponder. Find it hard to believe we're going to change QRH's again, after we just changed it in the last 6 weeks.

I think the memo was referring to the new QRHs that we currently have. Could be wrong cause I’m not in the know, but I was scanning through the preamble of one a few weeks ago and it said those were required memory items which was news to me. So I’m betting it’s the usual company making the changes and then telling everyone way after the fact. Like when they switched to the new MEL without anyone knowing.

Default A new pilot will be needed every 15 minutes

Latest article on the pilot shortage.
We are a valuable work group with a highly marketable skill. Let's keep this in mind during negotiations.

The U.S. will face a staggering shortage of pilots

My short bus math tells me that 17-05 should be posted in the next few days. Anyone want to guess how much ATL growth we will see? If any?

Man I hope you are right. Just curious the math you used to come to that conclusion.

I was going to say with all the training dates out to January for captains and February for FOs you were wrong, but at 60 new hires a month, the last vacancy maybe get us to November.

I think the company was betting a lot more current FOs would upgrade and as many captains would move around on the last vacancy to open up more spots for new FOs. The company had to dip down to 200 company time- but was only able to find 130 spots for new hires. As an example, they had to shrink NY 200 by 24 spots, I don’t think the company was planning on that.

The QRH is already revised. That's where the memory items come from.

Might want to open your current memos. And perhaps open your Content Locker while on the internet. It will download the memory items for you. (200 pilots only)
