AT/SWA SLI Question
#111
Tsquare,
I don't know why I bother, but really? You cannot fathom why a straight relative seniority would hurt SWAPA pilots? Maybe if you looked at the expected seniority progression of an older guy if you put a bunch of young guys in front of him, you would get some of the angst. Maybe you just want a nice civil war here at SWA. That would make both Airtran and SWA go away, but you would miss us too much so that can't be it either.....hmmmmm

Fire away, I'll hang up and smile.

You're starting to sound just a little on edge. What's up?

No no.. not at all. MY airplane has nothing to do with this discussion. Believe it or not, I am not bringing Delta into this at all. There is no edge and no agenda in any of my postings on this subject. I just don't see what it is that is causing you to be all spun up... You are fighting over the exact same airplane... You.. as a pmSWA pilot are going to lose nothing...except perhaps your first choice of vacation... You will still be captain in a 737 someday (if not already).... You are going to gain more bases, more destinations, and what is seemingly lost on all pmSWA pilots that post here.... more airplanes. It is just too bad for you that those pesky ATI pilots have to come along with them... tsk tsk... So naturally it is in YOUR best interest to relegate them to the back seat (or right seat as it were) in YOUR airline... how convenient for you. I am just amazed that you and 1 seat are so arrogant and condescending towards those that will soon occupy the same workspace, and for no real reason other than your own selfishness which is totally meaningless...

You're stuck in your own paradigm TSquare.
You're stuck on equipment size because at your airline, pay is tied to equipment.
At SWA and UPS, pay is the same across all equipment.
Remember the moment in the movie "The 6th Sense" when you realized that nothing you previously believed was true?
I think you need to prepare yourself for such a moment.

That's really, really noble of you to stand up for the AirTran pilots, tsquare. Everybody at AirTran knows that the Delta pilots have their back.
FWIW, it is astounding that aircraft size is the final crumb of career expectations that ALPA is clinging on to.

In all the recent rulings, arbiters tend to side with our view of things rather than yours... just sayin.

Is that a picture of what TSquare is going to have to do after he realizes he didn't know what the crux of the argument was?
Whaddaya say TSquare? When this deal works out as a win for EVERYONE (and not just a windfall for some), how about you run across the ATL ramp with nothing but your SIDA badge?

I keep hearing that "seniority lasts forever" but it may be truer that "arbitration lasts forever".
How about we find a way to get an agreement that everyone can vote for and get this thing over with? Then we can look back and laugh at all the people who have no real skin in this game who are trying to protect their own turf.
