Southwest Hiring Info 2016
#2051
Rocky came in to our class and flat out said, "tell your friends that we know if they used EC. If we can't see the real person, they won't get the job."
Prep is a good thing to help develop your stories, review documents, etc. but the line ops segment is where they know right away.
Why would I have a chip if I was hired?

Well...If SWA doesn't like what EC clients have to say then change your interview format around to a bit more casual. HR and the other recruiters (at all airlines) created this monster. We're all just being resourceful to have a chance at fighting this monster with a little prep.

SWA is one of, if not the MOST casual interview at a major there is.
That's the rub... SWA wants you to be you. Not what any prep says you should be.
I'm chuckling at your comment that SWA should change their interview to better mesh with the EC clientele.

I'm not saying they should change their interview to mesh with EC. I'm saying ALL airlines should chill out a little in thier interview processes so interview prep isn't required. Want us to be ourselves? Then let us be ourselves.

Really? Asking for a standard for making calculations and conversions which are apparently important to the company translates to robotic conformist and no original thought?
Perhaps if you're not having fun flying with others, the issue is actually in the seat you're occupying?

I think part of the trepidation for us former mil guys is that there is no "standard". Tell me how you want my numbers calculated and I'm more than happy to comply.
This is why ex military pilots are a lot less fun to fly with. They never met a rule they didn't like and they never had an original thought in their entire life
