Default My First Personal Camera

I'm looking forward to purchasing my first camera (digital)! .... I just wanted to know what to look for. I know most of you enjoy photo's as much as I do and would love to capture some scenery. Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome....

Golden,

You can't go wrong if you stick to a Canon, Sony, Casio, or Kodak digital camera. Then it's just a matter of finding a size and design that fits your liking.

Don't bother get wrapped up in Megapixels, as anything over 3 is adequate for 99% of general photography. If you'll be printing out a lot of 8X10 or larger prints, then I'd say go for 6 Megapixels or more.

I've owned both a Canon Digital Elph and a Kodak EasyShare V-something. Both are outstanding cameras, and very small-- perfect for taking on trips.

I just bought an 8 megapixel Olympus 800. I want to have lots of detail to take good pics from the cockpit.
