Default Synthtic Vision-Hwy in the Sky

Just curious, anyone out there have SV-HITS experience. Seems as though none of the new SV systems out there chose not to utilize HITS.
Seems crazy to me. Lots of talk about "too difficult to use" or other similar reasons.
what's your opinion?

Default Synthetic Vision Systems

I flew the SV PFD equipped Honeywell G450 demonstrator a couple of weeks ago. The Honeywell system was certified on the Gulfstream Plainview avionics platform in January.

I went into the demo with the state of mind "ok, another redundant g-whiz thingy". I came away from the demo thinking this is the next best thing to sliced bread, well right after EVS as a landing aid.

It very clearly gives you a synthetic picture into DAY/VFR conditions although your are in a lightless dark night or IMC. It is not a landing aid, however, simlply a situational awarness tool.

I used it years ago when flying pistons in AK. Great for IFR and a very useful tool for low vis VFR (assuming your flt plan takes you around the terrain, not through it). Have not had an opportunity to fly it in a jet yet, but I'd like to see it.
