I'm a little new to this eAPIS thing...
gotta take an aircraft from FL to Puerto Rico via Bahamas in less than a week. Just registered with eAPIS, but they say they won't have a "confirmation" e-mail for 5-7 business days... which will most likely be later than the departure time.

Do you any of you have experience with the new eAPIS system... any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Also the CBP 'decal' says the wait time is 4-6 weeks (!)

I'm not sure what to recommend about the eapis lag time, but concerning the decal: a printed receipt showing you've paid is sufficient. I've been in that situation twice before.

Thanks, the eAPIS requires a decal number... did you get that when you got your receipt?
Also I have a temp registration - but a fly wire from the FAA - so hopefully getting that decal won't be a problem.

Decal shouldn't be a problem, the reciept is what you need, but then again I haven't used this since eAPIS has been in effect. damn gov't!
