Default Fuel Consumption of Various Airliners

Does anyone know where to find reliable information on fuel consumption of various airliners - particularly 737-400/800 and MD-83?

I've been searching the internet but haven't had any luck.

SWAG for planning purposes. This covers taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, approach, landing and taxi in.

For the -800 circa 40 kgs per minute 88.2 pounds per minute.

For the -700 circa 36 kgs per miunte 79.5 pounds per minute.

Not what you were looking for, but I was floored to find out a 757 burns less per hour at cruise of .80+ than a Hornet does throttled as far back as you can get to max endurance (of around .60 give or take).

A B-1 bomber burns 18,000 lbs/hr at cruise, and > 150,000 lbs/hr going supersonic (or about 2,500 lbs/min).

On the other hand, an A320 averages 5,500 lbs/hr at cruise doing 0.80 Mach (or around 90 lbs/min).

Heard a B-1 making their position report on the blvd over Pakistan one day, and rather than announce their ground speed per the stan, they made it a point to say that they were "Mach 1.05." The following gang raping comm on blvd common was nothing short of absolutely epic. I almost lost control of the airplane I was laughing so hard. Gotta love those tanker dudes.

For the 747-400, figure 30,000 pounds per hour for the first hour at cruise(assuming a max gross takeoff), decreasing by 850 pph for each hour after that. After 16 hours at cruise, the fuel flow goes all the way down to zero.

The only reliable source is the flight manual (flight handbook) for the respective aircraft. If you know someone who currently flies the aircraft or has done so recently, they should be able to help.

Also, you need to be more specific. What are you looking for ? Do you want an average consumption rate at LRC, .80, .82, etc. ? Are you looking for "trip burn" for a specific stage length ? Not trying to be nit picky but that's a question that really can't be answered without specifics.
