IMHO if it was designed after 1988 I don't want to fly it, unless I'm being paid lots and lots and lots of money and have a 40/20 schedule.

I was departing LAX at 2AM & a Cathay Pacific cargo 747-8 took off behind me to HK.

Cheap fuel has been the primary problem, if it goes back up drastically than I would expect orders to rise. Speaking on the cargo side the capital cost of a -8 needs expensive fuel to offset the cheaper capital cost of a classic/400. This is why the HSV folks gave back one of the -8's and are using primarily 400's to supplement the one remaining.
