Seniority Trip Trade

Seniority Trip Trade
I'm finally getting around to enjoying the frustration that is seniority trip trading and was wondering if anyone know of a resource to explain why a request failed?
I found the "check legality" button, but the info in the pop-up doesn't mean anything to me. Is there a rosetta stone somewhere?
The error is:
That's not a flight number in my line or any of my requests BTW.
Thanks forum!

This request is NOT LEGAL: 857 6 DAY FREEZE

There is a negotiated 6 day trading freeze during Line Construction....
PBS is still building lines. If you change your schedule now it may cause a conflict with your next month PBS award.
Are you a Half-winger?

Once the lines for October are loaded tomorrow AND there are no conflicts with October flying, would the trade go through if I left it submitted?
Thanks again!

Thanks for the quick reply. Not a half-winger, but amazingly this is the first time I've used the trading system.

The old UAL Unimatic system was more transparent. You could actually see how many trades were available for each day, and if you inputted a trade and it was legal, it gave it to you instantly. This crazy "black box" system we have now is terrible.
This is definitely something we need to have addressed now, and not wait until the next contract.

Technically yes. In actuality, probably not. The company has decided to essentially turn off trip trading that is not same day with a blanket "no coverage". You never know though, you can always put it in and see what happens!
