Default Next Contract wish list!

UAL_June_Target_Survey
I believe this is more important then the rest of bs here:

Less then 10% of pilots has completed first survey!
So much brave talk, yet no action! Focus on what's important, your future!
In my opinion, this may be the last chance we have to secure the best contract for a long time.
The record profits will not last long, as I believe some genius politician will "improve" the way we do business by introducing some "great" legislation. Before you know it, we'll struggle again to enforce half of our benefits we enjoy today, as corporate officer will try to secure their way of life and prepare their golden parachutes.
The only way you can secure your future is not only to reflect and learn from the past, but imagine yourself in the shoes of the executive and figure the most ingenious way to scheme the labor out of the pay and benefits to increase future profits!
Forget being a pilot for a moment, and become a corporate officer!

Did mine, last week. I put what was important to me, and some lessons learned from DAL's failed TA.

It may not do anything. But you can't complain that the system doesn't work, if you don't even participate.

Take the survey on a layover. 15-20 minutes, tops.

Show PBS to the door and get something that is user friendly and that more than 10% of group knows exactly how to use....

I guess that is why it is called a "wish" list right?

I like the Jepp PBS. It takes some effort but I get what I want month after month and I'm only 40% in base. Many guys made no effort to learn the system and now their being delivered the schedules they deserve. I'd say 4/10 of the guys I fly with say they have no idea how to bid. How can that be? 6 months of ALPA guys in each hub and months of multiple mock bids....

Your "bidding skill" outweighs your actual seniority. Lots of guys who have figured out the system don't want a simpler system.

If you learn PBS your life will be happier, regardless of your seniority.

I do not want to go back to the old lines of time. One or two guys making the lines decided for everyone what was a "good" or "bad" line. Lossing the vacation conflicts was worth being able to provide the input to the schedule I want.

There is no secret decoder ring to PBS, you just have to actually want to learn how it works.

How about both. Keep PBS and load schedule conflicts AFTER the monthly award.

Sure, that would be great. How much are you willing to pay for it. PBS does what it's supposed to do. No conflicts with training, vacation, 117 limits or carry in/out. That's why PBS (no matter what vendor) was so coveted by both pre-merger companies. I like attempting to build my own schedule therefore I prefer any PBS system to hard lines. Adding conflicts into the system after the run would be nice but I'm fairly certain the company would be demanding something significant to "purchase" that. Everything has a cost, I'm certainly interested in the price. Perhaps it's worth it.

Do any of you guys know if both DAL and AA use PBS?
