Yeah, the great thing about the FFDO program is they have been 100% responsible for preventing terrorism in the skies. Of course, they've been 100% successful in preventing Yak stampedes in the airplanes as well.

Pretty valuable service, if you ask me.

Right, the TSA is doing a fine job and we don't need another layer of security.

Layer of security? LOL!

Why don't you just admit the whole FFDO scam was perpetrated by a bunch of gun nuts who thought they could use 911 as an excuse for airline pilots to get blanket concealed carry licenses?

Its a FACT that one of the original sponsors of the FFDO program not only failed FFDO training the first time around, but when he was readmitted ended up getting fired from the program because he forgot his gun in a public restroom.

Let's review some other examples of the stellar FFDO performance:

One guy shot a hole in an Airbus inflight trying to lock up his pistol.
Another genuis recently flushed a bunch of bullets down a biffy on an international flight.
Then there was the road rage incident when a gun waving FFDO decided to pull someone over because he didn't like the way the other guy was driving.

Let me ask you this, Jungle: Given the restrictions and the fact that most terrorist events originate on international flights, how does the FFDO program apply to that scenario? Also, let's consider the limitations on FFDO's jurisdiction. How would an FFDO deal with Richard Reed?

Just sit quietly and wait for it, that plan didn't work well last time.
3,000 dead and you are worried about a hole in an Airbus?
I agree the plan should be expanded to cover international flights.
Gun nuts, by your view should include the SS, FBI, all LEO and anyone legally bearing arms; they have all had incidents but their value far outweighs any harm done.
Let me ask you missy, who are you going to call at 0300 when someone is breaking into your home?

No, Jungle, I'd be more worried about an FGNO shooting his flying partner and doing a "Germanwings." A scenario more likely than an FGNO preventing a terrorist act.

Why would they need a gun for that? Didn't need one the last time.

This is the sum of your fear?

I have no fears. That's why I don't need a gun to "protect" myself. Seems like you gun nuts are the fearful ones.

You might want to start getting familiar with the law. Clearly you are fearful of people legally bearing arms.

It is ironic that the LEOs, military, and a good chunk of the general population don't agree with you, but they are quite happy to let you go on your way.

Thanks for sharing your views here and good luck.
