Um, yeaaaaaaaaah...I'm not sure what "cause" you're for, but whatever it is, I'm sure you're not helping it

Back to the OP; not surprised in the least bit to see a union leader pandering to the lowest common denominator with agendas like this.

Like Bill Clinton (draft dodger) and Barack Obama, right?

What an incredibly lame and idiotic post.

You should get your terms correct...not that I believe it's ever bothered you in the past.

Clinton requested and got a deferrment. As did others. The difference? When he came back he knew the next would not be approved and he'd have to go. As opposed to Dick Cheney who got 5 deferrments because; "I had better things to do." Seems a lot of Republicans feel that way. Lotsa chickenhawks running loose on Capitol Hill.

Obama didn't dodge either. The draft ended before he came of age.

But why let the facts get in the way, right?

You're correct about one thing...your post WAS lame and idiotic.

I don't believe UnderOveur called Obama a draft dodger. Yes...Clinton was a draft dodger. But why would anyone be surprised about a politician (Left or Right) feeling they are above the call of duty? It must be nice to be part of the political elite. Politicians are a self-serving narcissist lot, that's for sure.

Back on topic: I think this is a desperate measure by Trumpka to try and shore up decreasing union numbers. Less membership means less dues, and if they don't refill the ranks soon, his fatass might have to go get a REAL job.

Back on topic would be good for this thread, thanks!

I heard that Obama is a female alien from Uranus. Must be true because I heard it from somebody.

The term is "Starve the Beast". And yes, it is/was a real conservative strategy (Google is your friend here, Fox News fans). It was one of the reasons that I left the party in 1994.

Kind of like the term Obamaphone. Which is funny, because he didn't create the program.

Not to mention that the original article cited refers to the Bill of Rights originally sponsored by "Jamed Madison." If one wants the privilege of full employment, living wages, and a healthy future, it doesn't hurt to check one's work. Especially when following dreams of being journalists growing up :-)
Sorry, but that's a big pet peeve of mine. The media likes to be experts at how everyone else should do their job, but they can't be expected to have a mastery of the English language, let alone spell or type.
I personally believe that there needs to be an overhaul of the tax codes and minimum wage, but it can't fairly be done without a true assessment of the American peoples' priorities and sense of fairness. In any case, we can't rely on the "ruling class" (whether you define that as those in charge in government or corporations, as the "revolving door" mentality secures it for both) to govern or manage in the interests of all.
