Contracts are made to be broken .......... Organized Labor Unions cannot stop it . Companies file bankruptcy rendering the labor contracts null and void . ALPO is no different in that regard .......... If you are LUCKY , you will retire from your flying job and keep your retirement percentages intact ......... If UNLUCKY those all go by the wayside when your company files bankruptcy and your retirement fund becomes decimated overnight ....... No Union can stop this and these are cold hard facts

You hit the nail on the head, Roundup!

What's even crazier is that all the talking heads that they are watching on FOX News decrying unions are all card carrying union members: They are members of AFTRA, or The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, part of the Screen Actors Guild Union representing professional actors, dancers, singers, and broadcasters. Kind of an upside down Planet of the Apes world that just doesn't make sense, like the angry old white people at the Tea Party rally holding their "Keep your Government hands off my Medicare" signs or the Tea Party doctor elected to Congress on a platform of fighting Government takeover of health care who threw a fit when he found out that he had to wait a month for his benefits to start. Hypocrisy, anyone?

Rush, Beck, O'Reiley. Kelly, etc.... All union members. See the link here: SAG-AFTRA

But God forbid a teacher making $60,000 per year be part of a Union. LOL.

Exactly. Just compare ALPA, SWAPA, APA and Teamster pilot pay rates to non-Union shop pay rates.

Duh!

$60,000 a year? HA! My brother makes south of $50,000 and been in his job for 8 years. I won't call it a career because many people feel it's necessary to eliminate any career prospects for teachers. You complain that teachers aren't the best and brightest? Maybe pay an appropriate wage to the people who have to babysit and bribe your spoiled children into doing any semblance of work or learning. Or, just call the teacher and accuse them of intentionally targeting your child when they give him/her a bad grade. It couldn't be because your kid is a lazy liar. Nah. It's because your teacher is unfair.
