No need for a grevience because the carve out down in Houston by Ben Salley was soundly defeated at the MEC level - keep up.
Calalpa had no aligence to Js or the company. If they had been trying to collude to somehow screw the LUAL pilots they would have voted down the contract and then stayed in power. The fact that they voted to pass the contract proves you wrong. They were interested in getting a contract. They voted themselves out of existence by voting for the contract. That is not something a group does when they are colluding.
Had there been ill-gotten gains to protect you would have won one of the greviences you filled, the last being the SFO MOU loss. You make no sense...again. Any proof on Oscar faking the heart attack yet? Was JP involved there? Do you live under power lines?

You seem to try to repeat yourself as if it some how makes it true and gives you a little creditability.

You want to talk about OM and his weak heart - ok. He along with the board put United in a very weak position and has all the financial people wondering if it is a viable investment. I'm trying to be optimistic but after seeing OM on CNBC I'm really starting to have my doubts. He was almost giddy like a school girl when asked questions. The pig-in-a-poke hasn't really shone himself. Let's cross our fingers.

Personally, I'm still trying to understand why you went out and bought a 737 type rating when you could have gotten it for free with enough seniority. Lack of confidence maybe?

And I did protect most of them, though not ill-gotten; everybody at my seniority or higher was a Captain for over 2 years before the CAL/UAL merger was announced. I also voted to protect the Pilots in SEA, ORD, LAX and SFO...albeit with no reciprocation. No Pilot, anywhere in our system should be losing positions on narrow-body fleets with this kind of domestic growth...and YES, I'm very sympathetic to what DEN continues to endure.

I see we hit a nerve. It begs to ask why you wasted all that political capital and destroyed a promising career as one of ALPA's promising new leaders with the attempted back room deal at the LEC level. Are you saying the MEC did/didn't approve of your ill proposed deal?

1) Not true. We "had been" Captains but were FOs when the merger happened. I was one of them.

2) We had pilots WAY out of seniority in left seats at CAL because we had a terrible base structure and a horrible reserve system.

I'm tired of the "we can all hold Captain" when in fact we all know what the real story was on those out-of-seniority Captains. And none of us were Captains in DEN, ORD, LAX, or SFO.

Out of curiosity, what's the "real" story on these Captain seats? Maybe they weren't "real" Captain seats? Actually heard that one at the MEC table. And if you were a displaced IAH Captain, I must have missed your email. Every email I got suggested I fight against the displacements.

Sorry that you're tired. I am too. I just couldn't be tired while my guys were threatened with 400 displacements; that was the original number Captain...Oh yeah, while receiving a new 737 every 3 weeks.

"Tired" is a luxury I didn't have...But I'm going to bed tonight. Hope you get some rest too.
