Best Regional to get to United Airlines

There is nothing wrong with having an end game in mind, but it is a long road. Learn to fly, keep a clean record, and get an education. Apply to the regionals and keep a clean record there (if choosing the civilian route). All of these elements are necessary to achieve the best odds of your end goal.
Keep in mind, there are literally THOUSANDS of pilots with those boxes checked right now, and still haven't gotten a call from a legacy carrier (yet, but they will).
Good luck to you! It's a fun job, but the career path sucks--no way around that reality right now. Moral of the story: don't give yourself a handicap that, statistically, cannot be overcome.

Short answer:
Go to college where it is a good value and get a BS in something that interests you. Get your CFI in college and graduate with 1500 hours. Go to a regional that pays good (for what it is) and has bases that you can deal with, and hopefully a good employee relationship. Apply to every major airline. Hopefully you will get UAL if that's what you want, but you never know.
Good luck.

United Pilots! Who are you sitting by?
ExpressJet pilots? SkyWest? Trans States? Republic? Mesa? CommutAir?
Which regional is giving you the most pilots in other words?
As bad as ExpressJet and Mesa etc are...I hear United is still picking them up fast.
