They flew (and still are?) many different charter flights, sports team contracts and semi-scheduled operations such as HOOTERSair, Vacation Express, etc.

Crappy benefits, great folks to work with.

Check out their website: Welcome to Pace Airlines

Boeing 737

Boeing 757

...and here's a pic representing two defunct brands both represented by the same paint scheme...

HOOTERSair & Aloha

I don't know alot about Pace, but they do seem to keep busy on the Charter side. HootersAir shut down awhile ago I believe. They have private 757's that tend to go everywhere. I also think they have a 767. Again, not sure.

I was there for almost 2 years and had a blast. Pay, benefits, etc sucked but the folks you work with were top notch. The chief pilot at the time was Bruce Foster and I still think he's one of the best guys out there. No BS from him and he’ll back you up if you're ever in trouble.

Some people have used the term 'bottom-feeder' when describing Pace and when it comes to pay and benefits I guess it might be true. From memory - first year pay ~30K and then it goes up by 1K a year or so for FOs; Captains I think made 65K+ but this was a while ago and I'm not sure anymore.

However, when it comes to my overall satisfaction of working there I couldn't disagree more because I had a blast while working there - but I always knew I wasn't going to retire there. I merely wanted to hang my hat there for a while. If you know that before you apply your expectations will be more realistic.

I'm not sure whom to contact anymore - I'd say mail them a hard copy of your resume to the address below - from their website - (also email them the same information) and then call the number a few days later. Ask to be connected to the chief pilot or someone in the HR department. Maybe someone who's there right now will chip in later? Good luck to you!

i'm a new hire FO for them.... left a regional.... here's the deal...

6 737's , 2 planes flying for Gold Trans, (a broker) out of ACY. serve fifty cities. all gamblers... gold had a North american doing a flight the other day so they're growing...they even use Xpress Jet branded fifty seaters.

Skyking: heard they 2 planes repo'd the other day...

Pace.... has multi million dollar maint contract with continental... our ramp has 8 CAL 737s in mothballs right now... we fly sports charters, ICE, DOD, gamblers, puerto ricans, corp, pro college hoops, college football, pro hoops and hockey ... did 32 of the march madness teams last year...

we crew and operate the dalls mavericks 767 and 757. we are ETOPS...they go all over the world...

i think we have 50 pilots on the property... hope this helps.. the former Pace guy was right... the crews are great....

BTW, the company still owned by the family of the late Robert Brooks, aka Hooters

This is No ****! A buddy of mine survived his time with them. One day taking off from MIA, the left engine would only reach 60% power ( i don't recall the EPR). Chief pilot in the left seat, soccer team in the back, my buddy wants to reject but they go fly anyway.

Scary **** that is since no one knew why it wouldn't advance
