Hey all,

Does VirAmerica require a University degree. It does not list it on its website. For that matter, do most LCC's such as Jetblue require a degree?

Also, how many days off in a Virgin roster and how many days off between trips?

Regards

I don't think they require a degree at this point. I have a couple friends there and they mentioned it is only preferred. Each LCC has their own set of requirements. Just have to read them on their websites.

No min days off between trips. However w/ their pref bid sys you can set your own requests for trips and days off. Keep in mind it is still awarded in seniority order.

Actually, you have to select "allow single days off" in the PBS to over ride the min 2 days off feature (if you like day trips). 4 on 3 off is doable for just about everybody, and if you are senior you can get 3 four day trips to get in the 70 to 75 hr credit range for your month.

With the ten new airplanes coming is there talk of new destinations? Will the ten go to JFK or SFO or a split? What offline travel benefits are there, anything with the other Virgin carriers?

Did hear from a friend who is friends with the Chief Pilot (at least he was but may now be higher in management) that there will be hiring within a few weeks.

I just received an email from Virgin for the online assessment. Has anybody else received an email yet, or has done the assessment? I am just wondering what kind of questions there b/4 I open the email.

Thanks

Its just a personality inventory. There is nothing you can do to prepare for it.

Nope, It's more than that.

It has some thinkin' questions on there too. But it also is nothing you can really prep for.
