AN-12 (NATO-Cub) first flight, 1957. The twins are AN-26 variants, also saw an AN-72, but couldn't get a decent pic-an interesting design using the Coanda effect.

that reminds me of the my first time in a ex-soviet bloc country.... Antonovs taxi around the ramp...some MiGs and old Aeroflot Tupolevs sitting with weeds growing around them.... reminiscent of my childhood watching the 'Discovery Wings" channel
Guards at the airport terminal still using AK-47s.... mandatory 'Health Insurance" for foreigners....
quite a culture shock....but what a fascinating place!
