Telluride, KTEX
In the 1900, GPWS squawking through most of the approach, passengers universally applauding on touchdown, and offering clammy 'thank you' handshakes on deplaning!
9078' MSL (when I was there) on a 1,000 foot high mesa, with 1.9% upslope on each end of the runway.

Sorry, was tired and didn't notice it was photos and videos... Anyway never took any Pics of myself operating from these strips, too busy flying... And thanks for the help with posting youtube... Nanwalek and Hite are interesting, though not too bad; can be high PF under certain conditions like heavy or with strong x winds... Think I screwed it up...

I've been to what I think are really fun airports. I tried to make each solo-cross country I had for ppl training a different and unique airport.
I tried to cover mountain/sea/fun night-time one.
The pics below are of my most recent trip with some friends from work to KLKP. The runway was pretty unique. Extremely narrow and the first 1/3 is marked off because of the terrain on the approach side. Had to go around the first time, got my heart pumping. But wow what a view of the adirondacks and White-Face mountain. Was worth the trip!! Needless to say, my dad is addicted to these trips now.
Unfortunately I didn't get to get a good picture but KRME was another one of favorites. That runway is gigantic, and with lights on high at night, it was crazy.
KHVN new haven CT was another fun one. Got to take off right over the long island sound.
I will be heading to KMVY Marthas Vineyard MA in 2 weeks and am extremely excited to check out the ocean there!
