I currently use cheap point and shoot camera. It limits the quality of my images an awful lot, but you just can't beat the variety and spontaneity of it. Many shots are only possible with a small point and shoot that would be missed carrying an SLR. The latter takes the better image, though. I actually prefer a point and shoot because there is a lot more spontaneity when using it in an airplane.

I couldn't agree more. I bought a ~$100 Samsung P&S just to keep in my flight bag incase I ever want to take a picture. I still take my Canon 30D up if there is something that I am planning on shooting (property aerials, air-to-air, etc.) but some of my favorite flying pictures have come off the Samsung.

Nice shots Cubdriver, hate to see all those neglected toys.

If anyone wondered, some of the B-52s were chopped into pieces and left open to satellite view to comply with an old Soviet era treaty.

206H's only do one thing (slow flight), so I had plenty of time to get out and frame my shots. But I'm still trying to sell them to the Russians.

I've often wondered if you could buy (for like $200) one of those T-37s or TA-4s? I mean they don't use the type for training anymore right....? just sittin there....

Even if they paid you $200 to haul one away, the cost to restore and maintain it to the FAA's satisfaction would probably be .
