The herd was elk, near the Continental Divide @ around 12,000 feet. The moose and a companion were in the Roosevelt National Forest, near Ward, CO., a few thousand feet lower. The other pictures are from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nice shots Tom! Looks like you really know how to have a good time camping and fishing in the scenic Rockies! Gives me something to look forward to when I retire.

Which area/trail head?

The Glacier Gorge hike to either Black Lake or Sky Pond is one of my favorites.
