Eastern Airlines 737-8AL
I had no idea they were trying to come back! one airline that I would sure love to see flying again! hopefully it won't flunk like Pan Am did when they tried to come back.
Picture taken Nov 5 2014, pulled it from Airliners.net.

"They" are not trying to come back. There are only so many approved airline names and so when someone thinks it would be cool to run an airline they go look at the list and see what is available. Braniff and Pan Am were used 3 and 4 times, Republic, Piedmont, PSA, Frontier and Allegheny are on their second go round, it was just time to call the next airline "Eastern."
Their PR statements from the beginning of the year said they'd be an Airbus airline, I guess whatever they can get their hands on.
