There is no information to suggest that other 737s got the kit and there is no information on the vortex dissipators for the CFM engines.

As you can imagine, it is a high drag configuration.

This is as unique as the 727s in Mexico that had provisions for JATO bottles.

It probably looks like a Rorschach test up close, but step back a few feet and see the Inuit, the symbol of Alaskan Airlines.

also, i'm not sure Jungle, maybe you can clear it up but does the rudder hinge also have a sort of lateral extension?(right over the left eyebrow of the inuit)

Yes it does, I have never flown a 73 and don't know the purpose of that item. This aircraft now belongs to the Alaska Air Museum on beautiful Lake Hood.

good god I love JT8D's. Mmmmm Hmmmmm I love everything about them (thats coming from me not having worked on any - i'm sure my opinion would be different) The plume of smoke, the sound, the excellent smoke trail. mmm hmmm it butters my cornbread.
