Great shots!

I flew over AKN yesterday on the way to NRT and could see the plume on Redoubt from 200+ miles away.

Nome, Alaska.

Handle With Care
Found apparently abandoned in the Nome Cemetery. The "PRI-1" label is an Alaska Airlines shipping label.

Another Man's Junk
In rural locations junk might be useful someday for something. Nome is dotted with junk stashes.

I want to get up there to watch the Iditarod finish, I've heard that's a lot of fun.

You heard right! I had a buddy who did it a few years ago and was the red lantern into Nome. What a fun time!

Great shots FOD, you really capture the feel of Alaska. That shot of the C-46 in the pass is my favorite.
