I've never jumpseated on Pinnacle, but I've shared some crew vans with Pinnacle pilots in Memphis and elsewhere. Anytime I feel like life at FedEx is a little rough, I remember what those guys put up with. Low pay, very long days, not much time off, and no bright light at the end of the tunnel. I admire the professionalism they demonstrate when I've flown in the back of their airplanes, and I'm sorry things aren't moving in a better direction for them now. They deserve better.
