Thread hijack, you can have a type rating on a PVT. You will be held to the ATP standards which is why the type will jump to the COMM or ATP level when you get one in the same category and class as the type.
Didnt know that, I will have to look that up- but what a waste a type would be with 0 flight time in type, 0 turbine pic, and who will look at you with 250 hours and a 737 type that isnt current?
Id wait and spend the money flying cross the usa.
