Oh, very real which is why I pointed that out. Figured you assumed it was a fake. Friends from other airlines would send me photos of that thing in all sorts of places throughout the world asking what was up with the strange livery.
Don't know anyone who liked seeing money go to something that looked like that.
IIRC, Peter Max was chosen as the official Millenium artist for the NYC area. One of his paintings of the Statue of Liberty used to hang in international arrivals in EWR as you went down the escalators to baggage claim/customs. I noticed it's gone now.
